The opening day of the conference will start with the first new physics results from the highest ever energy collisions at the LHC as well as with a report on prospects for the LHC in the future. The recent exciting experimental discovery of an apparent bound state of five quarks (the so-called pentaquark) at the LHCb experiment will also be presented. The afternoon will continue with reports of improved experimental results on the SM Higgs boson, as well as from searches for physics beyond the standard theory such as supersymmetry, extra dimensions and dark matter in particle physics experiments.
